Not Latte is a small, no-frills café tucked just a block off busy Clement Street in San Francisco's Inner Richmond neighborhood. It’s the kind of spot that locals might pass by without noticing on a rushed afternoon, but those who stop in usually find a refreshing break from the usual bubble tea chains. The space is compact, so it tends to draw a steady but manageable crowd, often leading to a short wait during peak hours when only one or two staff members are busy behind the counter.

Specializing in bubble teas and fresh fruit lattes made to order, Not Latte puts a creative spin on the typical milk tea menu. The standouts seem to be the freshly mashed fruit lattes—like avocado, coconut, and sometimes more adventurous options such as durian—that come without added sweetness, making them feel more natural and suited for those who want something light and fresh. Fruit teas with real slices and pulps of orange, grapefruit, or pineapple lean into a less sugary, more tea-forward experience, which balances well with the classic and Thai milk teas also available.

People who come here often appreciate the genuine friendliness of the staff and the relaxed, unpretentious vibe. This isn’t a café where you linger over a laptop, given the tight quarters, but it fits well for grabbing a thoughtfully crafted drink that stands out from the usual bubble tea fare without the buzz of a heavier café scene.

The location just off Clement makes it perfect for a quick stop during errands or a casual neighborhood outing. Visitors looking for a low-key place to try fresh, real-fruit bubble tea blends would find this a suitable spot, especially on a warmer day when fruit teas feel most refreshing. Fans of unique flavors like the "Cloud 9" (coconut milk with butterfly pea tea) with aloe jelly tend to come back, drawn by the straightforward quality and originality of the drinks rather than any flashy decor or seating.

Overall, Not Latte fits best into the daily rhythm of locals who appreciate balanced, fresh bubble tea options in a compact, friendly setting away from Clement’s main hustle. It’s a practical choice for anyone wanting a quick, flavorful drink that breaks from the sugary standard and reflects the diverse, experimental tea culture of San Francisco.

This is a small place can be easy to miss but anyways we got 2 different fruit teas (lychee? & Passion fruit?) Plus 1 boba tea and they were all excellent. Delicious perfection! Totally worth it!

This place is hidden and a block down from busy clement but so worth stopping by! Delicious drinks, really friendly staff and they also give out cute stickers. Can’t recommend enough.

They didn't have cheese crema today so I ordered the tiger matcha milk tea. The picture seems to imply that it's honey boba, but after taking my first sip it turns out it's crystal boba. Not sure if it was an abnormality, but I wish I knew ahead of time. The drink itself was pretty good though. There was a bit of a line, and only one person was working which seemed pretty rough :(

Black milk tea and Thai tea were both on point. Small place but drinks were really good. Nice surprise

Out of the way from the main drag of Clement or Geary, but worth checking out. I’m a sucker for the Cloud 9- it’s coconut milk and butterfly pea tea (which makes it a beautiful blue color as well). I usually pair it with aloe jelly. I try not to visit boba places too often but the Cloud 9 always brings me back! Random note: Not totally sure if this is the same as the other Not Latte- the drinks always have a different store name on the cup, Purtea.

Oh my gosh, the durian latte (榴莲拿铁)or anything that contains durian is sooo good. Fresh, tasty and just works with the coffee or bubble tea.
